One year of work

I know, I know, I know.

A long time has passed without any piece of news.  This was due to several reasons that I won't explain in detail, I will add only that a lot have been done even throught the huge amount of the everyday life problems. ;)

But let me talk about the development state.

At the moment the Server's Game Engine is under development and in a couple of months I planned to have a playable stub of the project to officially start testing processes. The aim is to have playable character, inventories, a relatively small amount of items, and of course some moster to kill.

Later on other things will be added such as: guilds, cities and dungeons.

Even if the Editor is in alpha state, I didn't decide yet if include it in this first testing release, It will depends also on how many time I will have in the next two months to refine it and make it more friendly.

The Client have been deeply extended and now supports several new features such as: weather system, ItemManagement, Chatting system, dungeon editing, new materials, and much more.

I also updated the screenshot section where older and less significant shots have been removed and some new one has been added.

OGO keeps on developing

It was a tough period, but a lot has been done. Of course the release is still far but the direction seems to be clearer day by day, I would say line by line, texture by texture.

At the moment we started to develop the InGame part as main task, while a lot of minor features have been added, fixed, cleaned, optimized. The management of the continent has been implemented and seems to give us also some satisfaction, even if it is not complete.

Our team is also growing and a new talented member should join us in the next weeks. Once again he is somebody I already had the chance to have worked with in the past and from whom I learned a lot about 3D modelling techniques (and not only).

Be patience and in a short time we should be able to post new screenshots showing how our world is going on.

Character Management

I haven't been posting any news since a long time so I would like to give you some pieces of information about how our work is proceeding. Character Management is complete in its general purpose and at the moment it is possible to choose the skin's colour, beard type and colour and skeletal animation are supported as well as clothes. I hope to be able to make the first interesting online test in one month.
