What is OpenGameOnline? OpenGameOnline is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). It is strongly based on community and provides several tools to let people interpretate it, extend it or even completely change it. It is easy to install and you don't need externals tool, everything is provided directly inside the client. We might say it wants to be more than a game, it wants to be an environment to play, inventing stories, interacting with friends and not spending time in the stressing repetitive actions. When you enter the world of OpenGameOnline, you can edit your character choosing your skill and stats. A small tutorial teaches you how to: move around, interact with world around you and other players, exange objects, attack, edit your character's aspect and manage your inventory. Afer this you are teleported in a public area where you can move your first steps and interact with other players. Of course there is a lot you can do by your own at this point, you might want to start a profession, crafting objects or maybe you prefer to learn more about magic arts or combats techniques but it will be much more interesting starting to know people around you, trying to enter in a community or to found a new one with new friends of yours. When a comunity is founded receives a piece of world to edit. Members of a certain comunity have complete power on this piece of world. They can write a book of rules that have to be respected by who enter this "island" and have tools to administrate justice in this place ( they can kick or ban strangers or people that doesn't respect your rules ). They can edit the landscape like they want, creating mountains, rivers, lakes, they can change the material of the terrain, adding trees, rocks, and other kinds of interactive objects. Members of a comunity can build completely costumizable houses or palaces. They can decide the Weather of the Island and so on. They can crete a symbol to mark whichever object they craft or even to be used as a tattoo on comunity's characters. They can decide wich music plays on their land and even to edit their own with the editor that is provided in the game. They can add monsters' respawn areas to create dungeons, setting the loots of the monsters, and so on. In advanced editing they can script a new behavior for objects, or introduce new skills (this part have effects only on their Island). All this is to give the player the tools to play, expressing themself in a free creative activity, inventing, sharing ideas on how a world might be. So, exploring Communities' Islands will be a stimulating experience, encountering a different point of view on how a game can be. An economic system will permit to different comunity to interact with each other also in commercial relationships. Good game to everybody!
